3. User and Shipper Responsibilities

When booking a shipment with us, you agree to the following:

  • Accuracy of Information: You must provide accurate weight, dimensions, and descriptions of the freight, as well as correct pickup and delivery addresses.
  • Lawful Goods: You agree not to ship any illegal, hazardous, or prohibited materials unless previously disclosed, properly declared, and explicitly accepted by us in writing.
  • Packaging: All goods must be properly packed and secured for safe transportation. We are not liable for damages resulting from inadequate packaging.

4. Pricing and Payments

All shipping rates are subject to change based on actual weight, dimensions, fuel surcharges, and the final destination of the freight. Invoices must be paid within the agreed-upon terms stated at the time of booking. Failure to process payments may result in the withholding of freight (mechanic’s lien) or additional late fees.

5. Limitation of Liability

Selecta Logistics and Transportation acts with the utmost care to ensure the safe delivery of your goods. However, our liability is limited:

  • We are not liable for delays, damages, or losses caused by “Acts of God” (e.g., severe weather, natural disasters), acts of public authorities, strikes, or riots.
  • Our financial liability for lost or damaged freight is limited to the standard industry transit liability rates unless additional freight insurance was explicitly purchased prior to shipping.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Selecta Logistics and Transportation and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.

7. Governing Law
